Dodge Durango SRT Pursuit Trap or 797 hp crazy SUVMay 4, 2019
The Big Rally of America Circle will be held from May 4 to 11, 2019. The SRT Engineering team will perform on an upgraded version of the mid-size SUV Dodge Durango SRT. The car received a 797-horsepower motor and special equipment for rally racing.
The guys from the company SRT Engineering intend to once again conquer the week race “One lap of America.” To do this, they are going to use a slightly modified mid-size Dodge Durango SUV in a powerful SRT version.
Some time ago, the same guys made an amazing feat – they participated in a cross-country rally marathon – there they piloted the same Dodge Durango SRT. Under the hood of that SUV was a 475-horsepower 392 Hemi engine. This year, however, the guys decided to further strengthen their car, they called the project “Speed Trap”.
Durango SRT Pursuit Trap is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8, borrowed from the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.
The power output is 797 hp and the maximum torque is 707 Nm. According to the guys from SRT Engineering, their car will become a serious competitor for the rest of the participants.
Durango SRT Pursuit Speed Trap received a livery (coloring of the body) of law enforcement agencies and even additional lighting and a siren. Additional modifications include exhaust systems with limited retracting in the opposite direction, Kooks extension manifolds, high-performance catalytic converters and Mopar Performance step-down springs. Thanks to the latter, the car received a lower center of gravity for quick cornering.
