Dodge announced the Charger sedan in the powerful SRT Hellcat Redeye, but …January 27, 2020
The press service of the American brand published a post on the social network Facebook, which says about the appearance of the Charger sedan in the powerful SRT Hellcat Redeye version soon. Now there is evidence that the company does not plan to do this in the near future.
In the world of powerful sports cars, the name of the Dodge company and one of the versions of its models – the speech about Redeye, means that under the hood of the car there will be a 797 horsepower engine. Well, rivals in drag racing, who are waiting for the start with such a car on the starting line, should start to seriously worry.
For years, the Redeye nameplate (cat with red eyes) was exclusive to the two-door American coupe Dodge Challenger, but Dodge fans demanded that the company also introduce the Charger sedan in the powerful Redeye version. Honestly, there should be no reason why brand management would not do this.
Not so long ago, a post was published on the social network Facebook saying that the Charger sports sedan in the Redeye version is being prepared for release, but in fact it is not.
Was this a mistake on the part of the American automaker or a deliberate marketing move?
A published post read: “Everyone will turn around at the sight of this aggressive Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.” An image of the striped Charger SRT Hellcat was published, but this was not a concrete sign that we were really looking at the Charger Redeye in serial form.
There have been reports of the upcoming Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye from last year, and the presentation of such a car should have taken place at the end of 2019. But, unfortunately, this never happened. However, there is still hope for a 707-horsepower version of the Dodge sedan, especially with this alleged erroneous Dodge ad.
According to insiders, the project to create such a performance of the car is “still alive” and a new portion of official data will arrive this summer.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the next-generation Dodge Charger was introduced. An independent designer presented his vision of what a completely new generation of the Dodge Charger sports sedan would look like. The American brand plans to introduce a new product in 2023.
