Disclosed specifications of the first crossover GenesisOctober 24, 2019
Hyundai has unveiled a range of engines for the first Genesis premium crossover at a conference in Seoul, reports The Korean Carblog. So, the initial version of the car called the GV80 will receive a 2.5-liter T-GDi gasoline engine. Also, customers will be offered a 3.0-liter diesel engine with a return of 280 horsepower.
Top modifications of the car will be equipped with a 3.5-liter T-GDi gasoline engine. The power of such a motor will be 380 horsepower. Engines will work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Previously, a new crossover was already seen during testing. Judging by spy photos, the design of the serial model will repeat the concept of the same name. From the prototype, the car will inherit the radiator grill, massive wheel arches and optics. At the same time, the car differs from the concept with traditional exterior mirrors and body sides.
The premiere of the car is likely to take place before the end of this year. The crossover should compete with the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5. The Genesis model line by 2020 will consist of at least six models. In the future, another crossover and sports coupe will be developed under the Genesis brand.
