Disclosed details of the delivery time of the electric crossover Ford Mustang Mach-EDecember 28, 2019
There is still a whole year before the start of sales of the first electric car of the American brand, but you can book a car now. One of the company’s dealers published interesting information regarding various dates associated with the Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover.
When Ford introduced its first all-electric Mustang Mach-E crossover, the name of the new product was not the only contentious issue. Named the same as the legendary sports coupe, the novelty will go on sale only after one year – now you can pre-order a car, for this you need to make a deposit of $ 500. This, of course, is a very long time in which you can lose interest in this car, but for those who have already made a deposit, some key dates are available on the chart, supposedly issued by Ford for its dealer network.
The documents were published by a company dealer in Colorado (USA). It all starts with dealers contacting future crossover owners who have already made a deposit to congratulate them on being the first Mach-E buyers.
They say that the next step will come in the spring of 2020, when dealers confirm the specific features of the ordered car, such as the selected equipment and the total price. When the details are clarified, a formal Mach-E order is made, and a deposit of $ 500 is returned to the buyer. If you stick to this schedule, the only thing Ford now has is pre-booking a car. Actual car orders are not accepted.
The next step is scheduled for next summer, when, as they say, “vehicle planning” begins. It is assumed that dealers will keep in touch with customers during this process, and at this time, payment methods are also reported to the customer. It is not clear what kind of stage this is, but there is an assumption that this is connected with the installation of powerful home charging systems, which Ford will include in the price of the car.
Serial production of the crossover begins in the fall of 2020, after which buyers of Mach-E will finally be able to test the new product before buying it. Payments and the opportunity to purchase a car on credit are also confirmed at this stage, so, apparently, people will still have the opportunity to refuse to buy if they don’t like the impressions of the car. Mach-E shipments will begin in late 2020 and early 2021.
