Details of the updated Chevrolet Silverado 2021 truck revealedSeptember 21, 2020
The American brand has announced a new version of its Chevrolet Silverado truck. The 2021 version of the US full-size pickup truck will receive a multifunctional tailgate, improved towing capabilities, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto services.
Last week, Chevrolet first introduced us to the new “Multi-Flex” tailgate for the new Silverado, which is essentially the Multipro version of the tailgate in GMC pickups. But today it’s officially announced: The new Multi-Flex tailgate will be available for the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado.
The new Multi-Flex tailgate will be available as an option on all 2021 Silverado 1500 trim levels and offer customers six different features, just like the GMC Sierra.
Owners will be able to use the tailgate as a workbench, an impromptu load platform step with a 170kg payload, and more. And when paired with Chevy’s standard Durabed, owners also have access to things like rear-mounted LED lights, a 120-volt outlet, and 12 fixed mounts.
But the Multi-Flex tailgate isn’t the only thing the updated pickup gets. The Silverado will boast a trailer length indicator, a new type of cargo platform. In addition, the already available trailer rear view now has help instructions and there is a new split view camera for reversing.
Other standard features for 2021 include things like remote engine start on Custom and Custom Trail Boss trims, new active safety features on the Work Truck version, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless services for LTZ and High Country versions (but also available on LT , LT Trail Boss., And RST) – plus three new “packages”. The Chevy Silverado will also receive the All-Star Edition Plus, Texas Edition Plus and LTZ Premium Texas Edition for 2021.
Production of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 begins in September and is slated to arrive at Chevrolet dealerships this fall. There is no official pricing information yet.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the SVE studio modernized the Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Specialists of the SVE studio have developed their own project based on the Chevrolet Silverado. He received the name SVE Yenko Silverado.
