The automaker has released detailed information on the composition of the engine range for the full-size Ford F-150 pickup 2021 model year. All the necessary technical characteristics have become known.

When Ford unveiled the new generation F-150 at the end of August, it did not go into details on the composition of the pickup engine range. It was said that the “workhorse” will receive the following power units: naturally aspirated 3.3-liter V6, 2.7- and 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 and 3.5-liter hybrid V6. More detailed technical characteristics of these motors have now become known.

The 3.5-liter PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 produces 430 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 773 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. Depending on the selected wheelbase and drive type, the maximum payload of a pickup with such an engine ranges from 821 to 961.62 kg, and the towing capacity ranges from 4 989 to 5 760 kg.

The 5.0-liter V8 has been modified by Ford engineers and now has an additional 5 hp. (14 Nm), which adds up to 400 hp, which are available at 6000 rpm and 556 Nm at 4250 rpm.

This is enough to provide a maximum payload of this version of 1,588 kg and a maximum conventional towing capacity of 5,896 kg.

The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine has a more significant power increase of 25 hp. (41 Nm) compared to its predecessor, producing 400 hp. at 6000 rpm. and 678 Nm at 3100 rpm. With this turbocharged unit, the maximum payload is 1,474 kg and the maximum towing capacity is 6,350 kg.

The 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 diesel develops 250 hp. at 3250 rpm and 597 Nm at 1750 rpm. It can carry up to 834 kg and tow up to 5 488 kg.

The 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 still makes 325 hp. at 5000 rpm and 542 Nm at 3000 rpm – figures that are inherited from the previous generation F-150. The maximum payload is 1,124 kg and can tow up to 4,581 kg.

The base naturally aspirated 3.3-liter engine develops 290 hp. at 6500 rpm. and 359 Nm at 4000 rpm. The payload is 900 kg and tow up to 3,719 kg.

A high-performance version of the Raptor is slated to feature a 700-horsepower 5.2-liter supercharged V8 from the powerful Shelby Mustang GT500 coupe. An all-electric version of the F-150 is also to be expected. Ford has already promised that the zero-emission version will be the fastest and most powerful of them all.
