Details about the new Porsche Taycan publishedSeptember 4, 2019
A series of pictures of the new German electric car was published on the Web, the debut of which will take place today.
For several years now, Porsche has been testing Taycan prototypes around the world and gradually began to take off camouflage from the model. Consequently, we are gradually shown the design of the car, inspired by the Mission E. concept. New photos show some key design elements.
So, we can see the taillights or, more precisely, the taillight, since only one streak of light stretches through the back of the sedan. In addition, we can see the cluster of front optics, which seems to combine the main light unit with four additional LED DRLs surrounding it.
In addition, the car received traditional exterior mirrors. Note that electric cars such as the Audi e-tron and Honda E are made with cameras instead of traditional side mirrors, but this does not apply to the Porsche Taycan. This is a little disappointing, as the VW Group has a technology for using cameras and screens.
Porsche Taycan will be sold in several versions with a capacity of over 592 hp, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than 3.5 seconds and drive more than 500 km on a single charge.
Taycan recently set a new lap record at the Nurburgring for four-door electric cars, driving the track in just 7 minutes and 42 seconds.
