Demonstrated the updated Opel MokkaSeptember 22, 2020
Opel has shown the second generation Mokka SUV in online format.
The new Mokka is based on the CMP platform. As a result, the newest car has become shorter by 125 mm (4155 mm) of its predecessor, while the wheelbase has increased by 2 mm and is now 2557 mm, in addition, the model has been added 10 mm in width (1785 mm).
The design of the crossover is made in the new corporate style of Opel, providing for the use of laconic lines and dense volumes. And the manufacturer calls the salon completely digital. Here the main place is occupied by the stretched panel Pure Panel, which unites the two screens. At the same time, the main functions are still activated by “physical” buttons to make life easier for drivers.
The new car will be offered both with internal combustion engines and with an electric motor. The range of gasoline engines is represented by a 1.2-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 100 or 130 hp. In addition, a 110-horsepower 1.5-liter turbodiesel is provided. A 6-speed manual transmission and an 8-band automatic transmission can be used as a transmission.
The electric version, called the Mokka-e, has a 136-horsepower unit and a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery that will provide a range of up to 324 km. As for the type of drive, regardless of the variation, only the front one is offered.
In the EU, sales of the updated model will start early next year. On the German market, the base model starts at € 19,990 and the electric version starts at € 32,990.
In addition, it was recently noted that the new crossover Haval DaGou tried on an off-road body kit. It should be emphasized that this original Chinese cross was demonstrated at the end of July this year at the Chengdu Auto Show.
