Debuted sedan Lynk&Co 03 from Geely and VolvoAugust 31, 2018
The public premiere of the Lynk&Co 03 Sedan was held in the framework of the showroom in Chengdu.
Recall, the brand Lynk & Co was launched by a joint effort of Volvo and Geely in 2016. In 2017, the first model of the brand SUV 01 was launched on the market of the China, 01 and in June this year it was joined by a compact cross 02. By the end of this year, the product line will be replenished with a sedan 03 presented today at the motor show in Chengdu.
The serial Lynk & Co 03 does not look different from the prototype shown in 2017. Like the aforementioned crossovers 01 and 02, the Troika is based on the CMA platform developed by Geely and Volvo (remember, the Chinese concern owns the Swedish company). By the way, the same platform uses the cross Volvo XC40.
The length of Lynk & Co 03 is 4 639 mm, width – 1 840 mm, height – 1,460 mm, and the wheelbase size – 2,730 mm. The manufacturer does not yet name the composition of the power scale, noting only that there will be a plug-in hybrid version with a three-liter petrol three-cylinder turbo-engine Volvo with a power of 156 hp and a seven-speed robot with a double clutch. Crossovers are also equipped with a 179-horsepower engine 1.5 and a two-liter turbo four Volvo 190 hp. The SUV 01 has a 256-horsepower hybrid version with a turbo engine of 1.5 and a power reserve of 51 km.
Currently, the production and sale of Lynk & Co cars is established in China. At the end of next year, the assembly is planned to start at the Belgian Volvo plant in Ghent, and sales will begin in the first half of the year 2020. By the way, the appearance of China-Swedish models in our market is not ruled out.
Let’s note, Geely this year demonstrates more than 30% of growth, which allowed it to rise to the second place in the rating of brands of the Chinese market.
