Dealers received serial crossovers Toyota Wildlander based on RAV4December 26, 2019
One of the debutants of the November auto show in Guangzhou, China, was one step closer to its market debut: serial SUVs from the test batch reached the brand dealerships in China.
The new Toyota Wildlander crossover based on the legendary RAV4 will be available in April 2020, while dealers get the first test cars. The converted version of the fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 received new bumpers, an original radiator grille of complex shape and redesigned optics. But the crossovers are similar in size: length – 4 600 mm, width – 1 855 mm, height – 1 685 mm, wheelbase – 2 690 mm. The novelty borrowed a motor line from the “donor”.
Under the hood, the Wildlander can hide a two-liter 171-horsepower aspirated or a 222-horsepower hybrid power plant based on a 2.5-liter electric engine. The transmission is a variator.
The manufacturer will offer Wildlander customers with three types of all-wheel drive system: standard – DTC (Dynamic Torque Control) with dynamic torque distribution, more advanced – DTV (Dynamic Torque Vectoring) with separate rear wheels electromechanical multi-plate clutches, as well as E-Four system, which involves the installation of an additional electric motor on the rear axle.
The list of available options is diverse and includes modern driver’s assistants. Among them, for example, are emergency automatic braking and lane control systems, adaptive cruise control, etc. According to preliminary data, prices for Toyota Wildlander in China will start from 173,800 yuan
