Concerns Daimler and BYD have brought to the Chinese market a new joint model – Denza 500. The car manufactured by the Shenzhen Denza New Energy Automotive company can pass about 500 kilometers on one charge.
The Denza 500 is built on the first-generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class platform. The length of the electric vehicle is 4672 millimeters, width – 1850 millimeters, height – 1642 millimeters. The wheelbase totals 2880 millimeters.
The model is offered with two motors – a power of 117 and 184 power. The battery pack in both cases is one – with a capacity of 70 kilowatt-hours. The acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour for an electric car takes 14 and 10.5 seconds, respectively. The maximum speed is 150 kilometers per hour.
Depending on the equipment, the Denza 500 equipment includes LED lights, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, leather trim and a multimedia system with a nine-inch touch screen.
In China, the model prices start at 298,800 yuan.
In addition to producing electric vehicles for the world’s largest market, Daimler AG, together with the BMW Group, Volkswagen and Ford, is developing its own network of Ionity charging stations. The consortium plans to open 400 charging stations with a capacity of 350 kilowatts. Completion of the network is planned until 2020.
