Daihatsu updates Atrai and HijetNovember 11, 2019
Models in most versions received LED headlights – they were equipped with all versions with Smart Assist III complex of active safety systems. New body color added.
The current generations of Daihatsu Atrai and Hijet are among the main centenarians of the Daihatsu line. The passenger micro-van is known as Atrai, its commercial version is, in most cases, designated Hijet, and the Hijet Cargo micro-truck is also offered. Passenger models of the tenth generation appeared in 2004, in 2017 they received a major restyling. The truck changed generations later – in 2014. The current update does not claim to be major: these are ongoing improvements.
Since last year, Atrai and Hijet have received Smart Assist III security systems as standard equipment (except for basic equipment). Now it is complemented by fully LED headlamps. The only exception is the modification with the Hijet Cargo Refrigerator SA III refrigeration unit – it is still equipped with headlights with halogen lamps, but they plan to offer LEDs for a surcharge.
A new body color will be available for all Atrai Wagon and Atrai Wagon Friendship micro-vans – Laser Blue Crystal Shine. This time there were no changes in the decoration and equipment of the cabin.
Daihatsu Atrai and Hijet are equipped with a 3-cylinder 0.66-liter gasoline engine with and without turbocharging in combination with a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. Drive – rear or full in any version.
Atrai Wagon costs 1,573,000 – 1,820,500 yen, Hijet Cargo – 951,500 – 1,534,500 yen, Atrai Wagon Friendship – 1,770,000 – 2,700,000 yen, Hijet Cargo Friendship – 1,615,000 – 1,810,000 yen.
