Daihatsu introduced the limited coupe Copen Coupe based on its own roadsterDecember 20, 2018
The Japanese company Daihatsu has long been releasing its own small Copen roadster, and now a new coupe has been introduced. The car differs retrostyle, light body, as well as a limited edition of 200 units.
The car in its native market is in demand, and has an original design in retro style, ultra-compact dimensions, a hard folding roof, as well as interchangeable composite body panels. Back in 2014, the company introduced two concepts based on a roadster. Both cars offered to look at the version in the coupe with a different upper part.
We have to admit that a serious alteration from the roadster was not required. In fact, the company has created a hard cap that fits onto the mount of the folding roof. Daihatsu Copen Coupe will be released in a very limited edition of 200 units, and only in Japan.
A three-cylinder turbo engine with a displacement of 0.66 liters with a maximum capacity of 64 horsepower is installed under the hood of the mini-car. Together with him can work manual gearbox or variator.
The cost of Daihatsu Copen Coupe will be 22 000 dollars. The first deliveries will begin in April 2019.
