Czech supercar Mosquito will be the fastest in Le MansMarch 13, 2019
The Czech engineering firm Performance Solutions presented a supercar, with which it intends to dominate the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, also known as Le Mans. The novelty is called Mosquito, and its circulation will be only 18 copies. Price is not reported.
The name Mosquito is borrowed from the fastest aircraft of the Second World War – the British multi-purpose bomber De Havilland Mosquito. With a length of 4420 millimeters, a width of almost two meters and a wheelbase of 2650 millimeters, the Mosquito has a mass of 974 kilograms. The supercar is built on a FIA-certified lightweight frame covered with carbon fiber body panels.
Performance Solutions deals with prototyping and technology consulting. The company’s interests include motor racing, the defense industry and special-purpose vehicles.
Mosquito drives an atmospheric V8 with 608 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. Box – six-speed with paddle shifters. From place to 100 kmh supercar able to accelerate in 2.9 seconds. The stated maximum speed is 320 kilometers per hour.
The equipment of the Mosquito will include the Active Ride Control (ARC) system, damping the body vibrations by adjusting the rigidity of the electronically controlled shock absorbers and one-piece wheels mounted on a central nut. In addition, Performance Solutions promises thoughtful aerodynamics with high downforce and low drag coefficient.
