Custom Hot Rod Ford received a 5.4-liter HEMI V8December 24, 2018
Next month, a heavily modified 1930 Ford Model A will be presented at the Barrett-Jackson Collectors Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona (USA). The car received a powerful V8 engine.
Of course, against the background of such high-profile and highly anticipated premieres like the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and the next-generation Toyota Supra sports coupe, the American hot-rod from the Ford brand may be lost. But still this car is worth our attention.
The Ford Model A was mass-produced between 1927 and 1931. It is noteworthy that this car was collected in the USSR. A new version of this model was built on a special platform. The car is made almost entirely of steel, and every inner part of it, including the dashboard and the seats, was redone.
A few words about the interior of the resulting car. What can I say – it is very unusual, it contains metal parts and contrasting elements of gold. The driver is waiting for a rather uncomfortable-looking seat, a hefty steering wheel, a tall gear knob and a pair of sensors.
Under the hood is a 5.4-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine.
It is connected to an automatic transmission, which transmits all the torque to the rear axle. It is not yet known how much power this motor produces. But it is known that the rear suspension can change its height. The tuner has equipped a hot rod with rims of different dimensions – 18 inches in front and 20 inches in back. They are shod in Firestone Deluxe Champion tires.
The official presentation to put it mildly unusual car is scheduled for January 18 next year.
