Cupra cross-coupe: first imageSeptember 7, 2018
The web has a picture of a coupe-like crossover, which, presumably, will be the very first model specially designed for the Cupra brand. The all-terrain vehicle made in the new corporate style is likely to be built on the modular platform of the Volkswagen Group MQB and will be equipped with a two-liter turbo four.
In the photo published by Autofacil, it is clear that the design of the new Cupra crossover will differ from the styling of the Ateca: the body will have more sharp edges, the shape of the head optics, the grille will change, and vertical slits in the front bumper will appear. In general, the cross-compartment will look more aggressive and more rapid Cupra Ateca.
On the emergence of such a machine previously said the chief designer of the Spanish brand Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos. According to him, this will be a real Cupra in terms of design and engineering, its public debut will be held next year.
The first model to receive the Cupra logo was the Ateca crossover. The model is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine, the output of which is 300 horsepower. The unit is combined with a seven-speed robotic DSG gearbox with two clutches.
