Crossover Tesla Model Y received off-road versionApril 20, 2019
New American crossover Tesla Model Y was introduced a couple of weeks ago. The compact novelty, which is based on the Model 3 electric sedan, has a starting price of $ 39,000. A couple of minutes ago, an image of an electric vehicle appeared in an off-road version.
Independent artists have worked on this computer visualization – yes yes yes, officially this version of the compact crossover will not be released so far. Think off-road oriented Model Y sounds funny? Don’t be so sure.
Take a look at such well-known off-road models such as the South Korean Kia Soul X-Line, the American Ford Focus Active, the Japanese Mazda CX-30 and the Toyota RAV4 Adventure. Not to mention the fact that the larger Model X from Tesla is not so bad for off-road.
Of course, compared to the recognized off-road masters from Jeep, the electric crossover does not look competitive enough. But nevertheless, the latter has received some things that will certainly help him cope with rough terrain. We are talking about black plastic lining, which is located above the wings and side sills, artificial front lining in front of the car and slightly increased ground clearance.
Crossover Model Y has a standard range of 370 km and can accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds. In the Long Range configuration, these figures are 482 km and 5.5 seconds, respectively. Well, the most TOP version of Performance boasts 450 km and 4.8 seconds. The start of sales of electric vehicles is scheduled for next year.
