The novelty will receive a 5.0-liter gasoline engine. The power of the unit will be 550 horsepower. With such a motor up to 100 km / h, the crossover will accelerate in 4.2 seconds. In addition, engineers will also work to reduce the weight of the car. It is expected that the mass of sports Velar will not exceed 1800 kilograms. Also, the car will receive a retuned landing gear and a new air suspension.
Judging by the images, under the camouflage are hidden other bumpers with enlarged air intakes. In addition, the novelty will receive other wheel disks and calipers of brake mechanisms, twin branch pipes of the exhaust system, also a more aggressive diffuser.
Crossover Range Rover Velar is built on a scalable IQ platform [AI] – on it the British created sedans Jaguar XE and XF, also crossover Jaguar F-Pace. In size, the car significantly exceeds the Evoque and slightly inferior to the older Range Rover Sport. At the same time, the novelty has the lowest coefficient of aerodynamic resistance (0.32) among all models in the history of Land Rover.
