Thanks to the new engine, which is now available for the European version of the Japanese crossover, fuel consumption per 100 km is 5.3 liters in the case of a manual transmission and 5.5 liters if a “robotized transmission is installed. It is reported that the new engine is fully consistent with the environmental standard Euro 6d-Temp.

A couple of hours ago, the press service of the Japanese automaker, has published information that a new power turbo unit is available for the Qashqai compact crossover. It is reported that this engine, which replaced the petrol 1.2-and 1.6-liter engines fully comply with Euro 6d-Temp.

In the event that the crossover is equipped with a 1.3-liter engine, as well as a manual transmission and 17-inch wheels, the fuel consumption per 100 km will be 5.3 liters. If the robotized transmission acts as a transmission, this figure increases to 5.5 liters.

We would like to note that this turbo engine is the latest development of engineers of the French-Japanese alliance Renault – Nissan – Mitsubishi, as well as specialists of the German automotive concern Daimler. Currently, this engine is equipped with an increasing number of models of these companies – in the case of Daimler we are talking about the company Mercedes-Benz.

If we compare the new engine with a displacement of 1.3 liters (in the most initial version) with the old 1.2 liters, then these are the differences that can be seen. First, the power and torque – the beginner, these figures for 25 hp and 50 Nm more. And secondly, the new engine is 0.3 liters more economical. If we take the 1.3-liter turbo engine in its most powerful version, then in this case its power will be 3 hp less than the petrol “old man” 1.6 liters, which is also no longer available for the crossover. Despite this loss in power, the new engine can offer 20-30 Nm more torque. Well, in terms of fuel economy, it shows a gain of 0.5 liters when working with a manual transmission.

It is known that three versions of the new engine will be available for the Nissan Qashqai. From each other, they will differ in power, moment, as well as gearbox, which works with him. In the first case it is 140 hp / 240 Nm and 6-speed manual transmission, in the second it is 160 hp / 260 Nm and 6-speed manual transmission, in the third it is 160 hp / 270 Nm and the 7-speed automatic DCT.

Not so long ago, the debut date of the Nissan Kicks budget crossover became known to our automotive edition.
