Crossover Nissan less Juke got the name Magnite
March 24, 2020 Nissan’s new compact cross, the official presentation of which will take place in the second or third quarter of this year, is likely to receive the name Magnite.
The Japanese brand has patented the Magnite trademark last week in India in several combinations – Nissan Magnite and Datsun Magnite. Cross, in fact, is focused on the car market in India, where it will get a length of 4 meters – a category of cars that are taxed in the state with the least duty.
Despite the modest dimensions, the novelty, judging by the published sketch, will get a rather striking design with developed wheel arches, a “soaring” roof and LED optics.
The cross will be based on the modular platform CMF of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. The machine will receive a 3-cylinder 1.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 100 hp. In conjunction with the engine will work as a manual transmission and CVT Xtronic.
It is currently unknown whether a variation of the new crossover of the Japanese brand will appear for countries with right-hand traffic.
