Crossover Mazda MX-30 received a Luxury versionMarch 9, 2020
The Japanese automaker expands the MX-30 family with a second version: immediately after the release of the electric crossover, it will be possible to order its lux version.
In October 2019, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda introduced the world to the MX-30, an all-electric crossover based on the CX-30, which was previously only available as the First Edition. The evaluation version remains in the price list, but is accompanied by a more luxuriously designed version with the corresponding name Luxury. While the First Edition is priced at 33,990 euros, Luxury Mazda is asking for 38,990 euros. For this money, of course, the company offers a wider range of standard equipment.
This version will be considered luxurious until Mazda decides to add the branded version to the MX-30 delivery range, the most luxurious one that can be obtained. Compared to the First Edition, Luxury has additional features such as a sliding / tilting roof, automatic dimming of the outside mirror on the driver’s side, a wiper defroster, and steering wheel heating.
The list of additional options continues with a Bose audio system with twelve speakers, 150-volt power and a wide range of active and passive security systems. This package includes the Smart Ketkess Entry, a 360-degree camera, front and rear cross traffic alerts, Smart City Brake Support Rear, and ALertén Traffic Jam Assist driver tracking. The latter system allows more or less autonomous driving in traffic jams up to a speed of 55 km / h.
The First Edition version comes standard with features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a digital dashboard. The body of the First Edition, along with the free Ceramic Metallic colors, Arctic White Solid is now also available in Jet Black, Polymetal Gray and Machine Gray. Both First Edition and Luxury MX-30 will be available at dealerships in September.
Recall, the MX-30 has a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh and, therefore, must have a range of about 200 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. The 4.4-meter crossover is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 143 hp, which helps the car accelerate to 100 km / h in 9.7 seconds. The maximum speed is limited at 140 km / h.
