Crossover Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will turn into ToyotaAugust 5, 2020
The new Toyota will be called the Toyota Urban Cruiser and will go on sale in September this year. From a technical point of view, the cars will be very similar.
Toyota and Suzuki some time ago agreed on cooperation – automakers use each other’s developments and produce cars that are almost identical from a technical point of view, but different in design. The first such car in the summer of 2019 was the Toyota Glanza hatchback, which is almost a complete copy of the Suzuki Baleno.
information about a new model has appeared – on the basis of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza cross, a Toyota Urban Cruiser will be created. At least this is the name they are talking about in the media. The power plants should go to Toyota from the Suzuki car – in this case, the new cross will be equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 105 hp. or the SHVS hybrid engine. The first motor is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, and the second engine is combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The production of cars will be established at the same plant in India.
The cost of cars should be about the same level – today Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is estimated at 734,000 rupees. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser is expected to enter the market in September this year.
