Crossover Lynk & Co 01 survived a planned restylingJuly 8, 2020
The first Lynk & Co model was introduced almost four years ago. So the decision by the automaker to slightly upgrade its compact SUV is understandable.
After the restyling, Lynk & Co 01 looks a little different from the “pre-reform” SUV. The manufacturer slightly changed the crossover radiator grille (now it narrows a little in the central part), and also complicated the design of the front bumper. Another innovation in terms of exterior – a new rear bumper with a diffuser.
The dimensions of the crossover have also grown: the length went to the plus by 37 mm – 4 549 mm, the width – by 3 mm (1 860 mm), and the height – by 16 mm (1 689 mm). The distance between the axles is 2 734 mm.
The range of available motors has expanded. So, the two-liter “turbo four” Drive-E series will have new recoil options, in addition to 190 hp. These are 218 and 245 horses. Former hybrids, the 197-horsepower HEV and 262-horsepower PHEV remain, as well as the gearboxes available for pre-styling cross-country: 6-speed automatic transmission and 7-speed robotized gearbox.
By the end of this year, the novelty will reach Europe. Moreover, the brand will offer Europeans only PHEV modifications, and even then by subscription.
In the home market, the most affordable Geely SUV Lynk & Co 01 costs 150,800 yuan
Meanwhile, Volkswagen introduced a restyled Tiguan crossover. SUV received a refreshed appearance and a new hybrid version.
