Crossover Jetour X received a high-speed connection 5GApril 25, 2018
To replace mobile communications LTE in the coming years will come a faster 5G. A new Chinese manufacturer has already prepared a concept supporting this standard.
At the stand of the Beijing Motor Show, Jetour’s subbrand manufacturer Chery demonstrated the concept of the crossover X, which was dedicated to the introduction of advanced communication technologies in the automotive industry.
According to the representatives of the company, the prototype is a predecessor of two serial models of crossovers. Future production options will be called Jetour X90 and X95. One of them will receive a seven-seater salon, and the second, on the contrary, a coupe-like body with standard five seats inside.
Jetour X received a rather futuristic body design with blown wings, sharp edges, lightning-shaped LED lighting technology and 22-inch wheel disks. The door handles are hidden. Instead of the side mirrors, cameras are installed in the usual places. Since the glasses of the concept were smoked and the doors closed, the manufacturer probably did not prepare the interior for the car yet.
The concept demonstrates the possibilities of high-speed mobile communication in the Internet 5G. The Chinese authorities have already approved pilot projects for the launch of fifth-generation networks. Their testing will begin in the near future. The commercial launch of the 5G cellular network in China is scheduled for 2020-2021.
Representatives of the sub-brand Jetour assure that their concept is already ready to work in this standard of mobile communication. It is equipped with an “intelligent pleasure platform” iPeL (Intelligent Platform e-network Light) with the possibility of biometric recognition of the user’s face.
Until 2022, the sub-brand Jetour intends to launch four crossover, three minivans and several electrified models to the market, including installation on hydrogen fuel cells.
Also in Beijing at the motor show was a serial crossover Jetour X70. He will enter the Chinese market this year.
