Crossover concept Buick Coupe-Crossover will soon be in the seriesMay 9, 2019
As is the case with many automakers, the American brand Buick is trying to present something completely new to itself. This is no easy task. According to the company, the new coupe-like crossover has already been approved for production.
The Buick has a very modest line of six cars in the US — eight, given all three variants of the Regal sedan. In a recent interview with foreign journalists, representatives of the brand spoke about the problems facing the company. It was also reported that a completely new crossover coupe, allegedly approved for production and “on the road”.
We do not know anything about the new model, except that it is in all senses a new car. A new crossover was introduced during a special event in Michigan (USA). It is also reported that the new model is designed to change the way people look at the Buick brand.
We know that General Motors, which includes Buick, has invested $ 36 million in an assembly plant in Lansing. It is here that the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave crossovers are currently being built. In her recent performance at the factory, GM CEO Mary Barra almost confirmed that a completely new crossover will be assembled at this plant. Rumors say that this may be a compact Cadillac XT4 with a proprietary design or something completely new.
In any case, the American brand Buick is in dire need of a reboot. Over the past year, company sales in North America have fallen to a minimum.
