Coupe-cross Volkswagen Tiguan X is sold much worse than the standard version
January 16, 2021Volkswagen had expected the appearance of the car in a stylish body style to generate buzz. However, this did not happen.
Not so long ago, the German company Volkswagen began selling a new coupe-like crossover Tiguan X. For the reporting period, October-December 2020 was adopted. During this period, the novelty was sold in a circulation of 6 thousand pieces. At the same time, the classic Tiguan was sold much better – 62 thousand times.
The basis for the new coupe-cross is an elongated platform from the classic Tiguan. The main changes were made to the rear – different pillars, a different roof shape and a new glazing line. The taillights are joined together by a plastic insert. At the same time, the new Tiguan X is available exclusively with the R Line sports package, which consists of 18-inch rims and a special aerodynamic body kit.
The power plant is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 186 hp. In combination with the power plant, the proprietary “robot” DSG7 works. An all-wheel drive system is available as an option.
One of the reasons for the low sales of the car may be its price, which starts from 245,900 yuan
And if the classic Tigauan with similar equipment will cost about the same price – 239,800 yuan, then its starting equipment turned out to be much cheaper.
