Convertible Volkswagen T-Roc goes on saleMarch 11, 2020
The first new product will receive dealers of the brand in Germany. The cost of the basic version of the car is already known.
German auto giant Volkswagen launches T-Roc cross-cabriolet sales – new to dealers later next week. The car is the first crossover convertible in the class of compact cars. Also, the car will become the only one in the Volkswagen lineup with a folding roof. The presentation of the car took place last summer. For the appearance of a folding top, it was necessary to deprive the design of the rear door cars. Note that it takes about 30 seconds to raise and lower the roof, and this can be done at speeds up to 30 km / h.
To accommodate the design of the folding roof, the wheelbase of the car was increased by 40 mm compared to the serial version of the crossover. The luggage compartment is 284 liters, which is pretty good for a compact convertible. The engine range has passed to the model from the T-Roc crossover and consists of two power plants.
The base is a 1.0-liter turbo engine with 115 hp. A more powerful 1.5-liter turbo engine is capable of delivering 150 hp. The basic version only works with 6-speed manual transmission, and for the 1.5-liter power unit, you can choose a “robot” DSG.
Volkswagen has already announced a special package of options for the R-Line cross-cabriolet. It includes original 19-inch wheels, a premium audio system with 12 speakers, an advanced multimedia system and a digital dashboard. The cost of starting equipment is already known – it will amount to 27,495 euros. Production of the model is established at a factory in Germany. Volkswagen plans to sell about 20 thousand such cars a year.
