Convertible Chevrolet Corvette C8 will show October 2September 10, 2019
In response to the commentary on the Chevrolet Convertible 2020 release, which appeared sometime in October, the brand recently posted information on its Twitter that the open-top model will debut on October 2.
The design of the Corvette Convertible is not a mystery, and you can see it in our earlier photos. The front to the A-pillar is the same compartment. The novelty has a folding hardtop, and now there are gondolas behind the seats for protection during rollovers. The photographs show that there is a glass panel between them that can be raised to increase wind protection in the cabin.
Although official information about the power plant of the C8 convertible is not yet available, it’s hard to believe that Chevrolet will not fit the same 6.2-liter V8 that the coupe uses. Its return is 490 hp. power as standard or 495 hp with optional exhaust system. The only transmission option is an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. An information leak indicates that the C8 droptop weighs 1,650 kg, which is 46 kg more than a coupe without the Z51 package.
After the C8 Convertible debut on October 2, don’t expect sales to begin before 2020. For most of the country, buying a convertible so close to winter is not a very tempting purchase.
