Concern SAIC introduced the compact car Maxus D50August 9, 2018
In the assortment of the brand it is the second minivan: the first was a minivan with the G10 index, which has been produced since 2014. Judging by the published photos of the edition of Autohome, Maxus D50 received an authentic design with claims to the premium segment. Direct analogies with the more eminent models can hardly be carried out, but it can be noted that the car received a lot of chrome in a circle, plastic lining under the rapids and bumpers, a large grille, and a front bumper with air intakes.
Behind the car looks more conservative: the square shape of the body should have a positive impact on visibility.
The compact car has a length of 4,750 mm, its width reaches 1,800 mm, height – 1,720 mm. The wheelbase is 2,800 mm.
Under the hood of the Maxus D50, depending on the modification will work turbocharged four with a capacity of 1.3-1.5 liters, the power of which is 150-162 horsepower. The first motor will work with a six-speed manual transmission, the second is supposed to robotic transmission for seven speeds.
As for the interior, it thanks to its layout somewhat resembles what can be found in the new Peugeot 5008 cross-country: especially with respect to the dashboard, deflectors, and multimedia system, although again, it is impossible to speak of a complete analogy.
In the Chinese market, sales of the model will begin at the end of this year. The cost of the novelty is not yet reported, but the competing compact Baojun 730 is sold at a price of 89,800 yuan.
