Concern Daimler remembered its Chinese brand DenzaFebruary 23, 2021
Daimler created this brand ten years ago in partnership with the Chinese company BYD. Now the general director of the concern, Ola Kallenius, has shared his vision of the future of this brand.
According to Ola Kallenius, the future of Denza will be connected with the interest of buyers in the Denza X SUV. It is this SUV in China that will play a decisive role in the future of the brand. Recall that the serial version of Denza X was released back in 2019. The new SUV featured elegant looks and many Mercedes-Benz components.
The concern will closely monitor the sales of the promising novelty, and then make a decision. Unfortunately, it is not reported what the circulation of the new SUV is. The Auto publication characterizes the demand for Denza X as “moderate”. Before the SUV, the joint BYD and Daimler brand had passed their only Denza 500 sedan, the appearance of which was not to everyone’s liking.
The Denza X engine range includes a plug-in hybrid and an all-electric powertrain. The hybrid SUV gets a two-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, two electric motors and a battery. The total output of the hybrid exceeds 396 hp, and it will accelerate to hundreds in less than five seconds.
The all-electric SUV boasts 242bhp. and a range of 500 kilometers.
Inside Denza X is a unique multimedia, the screen of which can be rotated by changing the orientation.
Meanwhile, the exterior and interior of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class were completely declassified during the shooting of a commercial. The interior of the car is in many ways similar to the style of the executive S-Class.
