Conceptual BMW i4 shown on final teaserMarch 2, 2020
Up to this point, the brand has already shown a future novelty in the original video, where the silhouette of the car was formed using molten metal pouring from above.
The BMW Concept i4 was supposed to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, but due to its cancellation, the brand had to change plans. The novelty will be presented “online” in Munich as part of a “digital press conference.” In anticipation of this event, the automaker released a final teaser, revealing some new details of the model’s appearance. The electric sedan shown in the picture will look like a BMW Concept 4. At the same time, foreign experts expect a more sleek design with clearly defined lines from an environmentally friendly new product.
Whether the serial BMW i4 will receive side cameras instead of rear-view mirrors has not yet been announced. The Germans can transfer this fashionable detail to the series, as Honda E and Lexus ES already offer Europeans such an option.
The power plant of the new BMW i4 will be 523 hp, and the battery capacity – 80 kWh. It takes a little more than half an hour to recharge an electric car to 80% at a 150-kilowatt station. The declared power reserve of the electric sedan is 600 kilometers. From zero to 100 kph the car accelerates in just 4 seconds, and its maximum speed exceeds 200 km / h. On sale, the serial BMW i4 will appear only in 2021.
