Compact crossover Toyota Urban Cruiser officially presentedAugust 23, 2020
The car has become the most compact crossover in the model range of the Japanese brand.
Toyota has officially unveiled the new Urban Cruiser crossover. In fact, it will be a redesigned version of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza cross. One of the main advantages of the new item will be its price, it will cost less than Hyundai Creta. In terms of design, the car will receive exterior elements from the latest Toyota innovations – we are talking about the design of the radiator grille, the shape of the running lights and bumpers.
Since the car is presented for the Indian car market, its dimensions were not greatly increased – now they are 3995x1790x1640 mm with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. A 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 105 hp is used as a power plant on an uncontested basis, which is supplemented by a 48-volt starter-generator. In tandem with the engine, a 5-speed manual transmission or “robot” works, depending on the selected configuration. Four-wheel drive won’t even be available as an option.
From the technical equipment, we note the presence of an air conditioner, power windows for all doors, a rear-view camera and a multimedia complex with a touchscreen.
Prices for all configurations will be announced closer to the start of sales. For comparison, for Suzuki Vitara Brezza in India they ask 767,000 – 1,042,000 rupees
Earlier it became known when the new Toyota Yaris Cross crossover will go on sale, which will become the most budgetary car in the brand’s lineup. Dealers will start accepting applications for the new product at the very end of August.
