C3 WRC Concept will mark the return of the brand in the rally championship after a year-long absence. From next season, the new regulations come into force, according to which allowed the use of more aggressive aerodynamic elements and more powerful engines.
A conceptual model has a width of 1 875 mm, the index is 49 mm wider than that of the C4 Picasso. The more the car was so wide, thanks to the increased wheel arches. Also, the model is longer by 55 mm and now can “boast” a length of 4 150 mm. This was achieved thanks to the front spoiler in the enlarged bumper. To ensure proper downforce rear of the hatchback is equipped with a large rear wing, which is the maximum shifted back.
Representatives of the Citroen assured that, despite the fact that this is just a prototype interior design of the C3 is quite real. It is the interior without any modifications will be implemented in the racing model.
Under the hood is mounted 1.6-liter engine, which develops 380 horsepower, making it almost four times more powerful than the serial Citroen C3. Model weighs only 1 200 kg.
