Citroen is preparing to debut a new electric carFebruary 8, 2020
Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular in Europe, and it seems Citroen is almost ready to introduce a new instance.
In two intriguing videos, Citroen notes that electrical outlets help wake you up in the morning and make the best or worst coffee in the world. They continue to say that the outlets “have served you well, and that will not stop in the near future.” Then the videos turn into a mysterious teaser for the car, which says: “For 100 years, Citroen has made cars accessible to everyone. In 2020, Citroen will make electricity affordable for everyone. ”
Although the two clips are slightly different, the latest video teaser says that there will be even more information on February 27th. Given that Citroen will miss the Geneva Motor Show, the car may be presented at a special event later this month.
Little is known about the electric car at the moment, but judging by the teaser image, it will have a completely closed grille with a lit Citroen logo. You can also see round headlights and pronounced front fenders. The car does not look like everyone else in the Citroen line, but it has some similarities with last year’s Ami One concept, which was introduced as an ultra-compact two-seater and was positioned as an electric solution to urban mobility.
As for the Ami One, the technical characteristics of the show car cannot be called impressive: a range of 100 km, a maximum speed of 45 km / h and a charge time of two hours. It is noteworthy that the electric car can be driven by people who do not have a driver’s license (depending on local regulations).
