These cars will be produced at the same factory in Rennes-la-Jean, France, where other versions are produced. The cost in Europe is from 39950 euro, but the implementation starts only in the summer of 2020.

Hybrid cars of the Citroen brand have already appeared: for example, back in 2011 they released the Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 hatchback with a separate electric motor on the rear axle. But the company did not give them much hope, and the circulation was small. Now Citroen promises that every new car in the gamut will have a hybrid version with the ability to recharge from the outlet. The first among them was the Citroen C5 Aircross Hybrid SUV, which outwardly differs from the “ordinary” versions only in blue decor and nameplates.

In technical terms, Aircross is standardized with similar Peugeot 3008 and DS 7 Crossback hybrids, but it has less “charge” and only front-wheel drive. On board is a 1.6 PureTech gasoline turbo four (180 hp) with a starter generator. Instead of a torque converter, an eight-speed “automatic machine” is provided with a wet clutch package, followed by a 110-horsepower electric motor. The maximum power of this installation is 225 hp. and 320 Nm. This is the most powerful option in the range.

The battery capacity of 13.2 kWh should be enough to cover 50 km only on electricity according to the WLTP method, therefore the fuel consumption indicated in the passport is only 1.7 l / 100 km. The maximum speed in electric mode is 135 km / h. A full charge from the original Wallbox charging device (7.4 kW, 32 A) can charge batteries up to 100% in less than two hours. There is a mode for moving e-Save, in which the electronics store a charge in the battery for the mileage specified by the driver – for example, if the route ends in the “green” zone, where movement with the internal combustion engine is strictly prohibited.

A lithium-ion battery is located under the rear sofa, but the declared luggage capacity of the hybrid is less than that of gasoline and diesel modifications: from 460 to 600 liters, depending on the location of the rear seats versus 580-720 liters. And the hybrid will receive a separate schedule of virtual devices.
