Citroen C5 Aircross will be a pioneer among the “French” in IndiaMarch 4, 2019
Concern PSA decided to try their hand at one of the largest markets in the world with their own specifics. For the sample, a modern model with an interesting design will be sent to India.
Just recently, PSA representatives announced their entry into the Indian market. The first model was the crossover Citroen C5 Aircross. The company decided to try to impress local consumers with modern European design, but whether the price tag of the crossover corresponds to local realities is not yet known.
In the Indian market, the car will compete with the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tuscon. As a power unit will be used, perhaps, a two-liter diesel engine, as well as a 1.2-liter gasoline engine. Together with them will offer a mechanical and automatic transmission.
In standard and additional equipment, the model boasts a modern multimedia information system Infotaiment with an 8-inch display. In addition, the model boasts more than 20 electronic systems assistants.
Cost for the local market is still unknown. All models will be assembled at the Hosur plant, which Citroen created together with the CK Birla Group in a 50 to 50 joint venture.
