Citroen C4 Picasso renamed and equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmissionApril 4, 2018
The new gearbox, replacing the six-speed transmission, has become lighter and has provided additional fuel economy
Citroen introduced the upgraded versions of the C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer minivans that replaced the C4 Picasso. Cars received a new 8-speed automatic transmission, which replaced the 6-band transmission.
Engineers of the French brand used the gearbox of the Japanese company Aisin, which is two kilograms lighter than the old “machine”. While this transmission will be combined only with a two-liter diesel engine, which will spend about 7% less fuel, thanks to two additional gears and a “start-stop” system.
Modernized minivans have already become available for purchase in France at a price of 33,500 euros.
