Cirtuss showed electric bike with a battery in the style of a V8 engineJuly 4, 2019
The unusual design of the battery not only looks spectacular, but also thought out in terms of functionality
The company Cirtuss presented a prototype of the Zeus electric motorcycle of 2020 with an electric power plant that feeds the battery of the original design. It consists of eight cylindrical blocks placed at an angle to each other, like cylinders in a V8 engine.
According to Curtiss designer Jordan Kornilla, this solution is not only a reference to the powerful eight-cylinder engine, but also allows you to achieve maximum cooling efficiency of the batteries. “We didn’t have to look for a compromise between form and functionality,” he said.
The frame of the motorcycle is welded by hand and is a titanium tubular frame, and the wheels are made of carbon fiber. The return of the power plant Zeus is 16.8 kilowatt-hours, which is significantly more than other electric jets.
Motorcycle production will be launched in 2020. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the model will be 75 thousand dollars, which is very expensive – for this price, for example, you can buy two copies of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric bike and “on delivery” – Lightning Strike, which can accelerate to 241 kilometers per hour.
Last year, a similar reception with an electric power plant and a V8 was turned by Americans from the Icon tuning studio. They installed an electric motor from Tesla in the 1949 Mercury Coupe, which was disguised as an eight-cylinder internal combustion engine.
