Chinese FAW plans to take the place of Rolls-Royce in the home marketNovember 10, 2019
We are talking about cars of the prestigious brand Hongqi, whose products today are intended only for senior officials and senior officials of the state.
According to Autocar, the Chinese auto giant FAW is going to make Hongqi cars available for sale. As representatives of the brand note, such a desire is expressed by the wealthy residents of the Middle Kingdom. At the moment, only persons of the government and head of state can move on Hongqi cars. According to the FAW press service, the company plans to compete with Rolls-Royce in the home car market. And such ambitions are not impossible. To solve this problem, about a year ago, former Rolls-Royce car designer Gilles Taylor joined the FAW.
A company from China has already accumulated enough experience in creating luxury cars to face such a difficult challenge.
Work on the new product will be conducted in the new center of the FAW concern in Munich. Gilles Taylor has already made the first statement about the appearance of the novelty. According to him, the main concept will be a bright and individual design, rather than cloning the appearance of modern Rolls-Royce.
