Chinese electric car Renault City K-ZE adapt for EuropeOctober 28, 2019
A compact crossover with an all-electric powerplant is currently sold only in the Celestial market. Nevertheless, he is preparing to enter the European market, where, possibly, it will be sold under the Romanian brand Dacia.
Budget ultra-compact crossover Renault City K-ZE can come to Europe. So far, the company has indicated only the intention of this, and cannot provide accurate information. Nevertheless, experts are confident that the new product will also occupy the budget segment of electric cars in Europe, and will be presented under the Dacia brand. It is likely that the model will be the first “swallow” in the active reduction of emissions by Renault and Dacia.
Renault officially confirmed that – “The adapted version of the Renault K-ZE will be the starting point for the company to enter the electrified segment with zero emissions.”
Note that the Renault K-ZE is an ultra-compact SUV sold in China. It can be assumed that the European version will receive a number of modifications related to the mandatory level of security. In addition, the model should increase the range to 200-250 km in order to compete with other electric cars.
The Chinese version is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of up to 44 horsepower. A small battery pack is used as a power source, providing a range of up to 100 km.
Initially, the Renault K-ZE was conceived as a global model. But it will be produced only in China.
