Chinese copy of the new Hyundai Santa Fe is ready to enter the marketJanuary 19, 2019
The Haima SG00 crossover, which looks little different from the Korean novelty, has a more affordable price tag and distinctive interior.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry once again roused the curiosity of local motorists. The other day on the official website of the ministry were published the first photos of the product version of the new crossover Haima SG00. This model is often called the budget copy of the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe. In this case, the similarity of the Chinese SUV with Santa Fe ends on the exterior.
Haima SG00 debut took place last spring. Then the model surprised fans of the brand with head optics in the spirit of the new Santa Fe, as well as the overall grille, which has become a hexagon.
But the car manufacturer has designed the interior as distinctively as possible: a stylish truncated steering wheel, an original front panel, multimedia with a “floating” touch screen. The basis of the Chinese news lay platform HMGA, and its size was smaller than that of Santa Fe.
The SG00 engine range is represented by three turbo engines with working volumes of 1.2, one and a half and 1.6 liters. Their return is 148, 163 and 194 hp These engines are combined with one of two types of transmissions – the 6-speed manual transmission or the seven-speed robotized. On sale in the home market SUV will appear this spring. According to experts, the novelty will be valued at 92 thousand yuan.
Meanwhile, a budget copy of the Toyota Rush appeared in Malaysia showrooms. This is a seven-seater SUV Perodua Aruz.
