Chinese company unveiled cheap electric pickupJanuary 30, 2019
This electric pickup looks more like a golf cart or even a loader. Pickman truck will cost only 5,700 dollars. Here is a living proof that electric vehicles are gaining popularity.
The American Ford brand has finally confirmed that the all-electric version of the F-150 pickup is in development. The company Rivian announced itself at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, where it showed the all-electric R1T pickup. There are other startups, such as Bollinger Motors and Workhorse, which are also engaged in the development of electrical models. GM concern is apparently at an early stage of work on hybrid and electric crossovers / SUVs. Tesla also announced that they will soon introduce an electric pickup truck.
But these are only plans, and the Chinese company already has something to offer. Kaiyun Motors has recently declassified her electric truck.
Unfortunately, the rear-wheel drive car can boast only 5.5 horsepower and a top speed of 45 km / h. The power reserve will be about 120 km, in addition, it can carry up to 500 kg of payload. In essence, this is an electric kart or golf cart with some reasonable level of utility.
Kaiyun Motors plans to sell about 10,000 Pickman trucks in the US in 2019. Such vehicles are legal on the streets in some states of this country. The maximum price for a truck will be 9 000 dollars
