The German company BMW is going to offer its customers in China BMW 330e 2020 model year. According to Automobil Produktion, the plug-in hybrid, based on the best-selling BMW series, will be put on the conveyor of a Chinese automobile plant. This is a joint venture of the German brand and Brilliance Automotive.
At the same time, it is noted that a hybrid model of the 3rd series in an elongated version will be released on the celestial car market. Similar modifications in this country at the time got models X1 and 5th series.
For the performance of the BMW 330Le, a two-liter 184-horsepower turbo engine and an electric engine with a return of 68 horsepower are responsible. As a transmission, such a hybrid gets an eight-speed automatic. Not without the function “overboost”, which for this model changed its name to “XtraBoost”. With its help, you can temporarily increase engine power by 41 hp, provided that the battery has not reached the minimum charge level.
On one electricity, a novelty from BMW can travel about 60 kilometers. How much will have to pay for the BMW 330Le in Chinese car dealerships has not yet been announced. The exact release date of the model on the market is also kept secret. According to auto experts, this will happen before the end of 2019.
