The Chinese continue to buy Cadillac models in record numbers, helping the American automaker show consecutive sales growth for 17 consecutive months.
In October, Cadillac delivered 17,018 cars to China, which is significantly more than the 13,931 units that this brand sold in its home market – in the United States. The increase in sales of cars of the American brand in China last month amounted to 36.1 percent compared to October 2016, in which 12 502 cars were sold.
Year-on-year, Chinese buyers purchased 141,643 cars from Cadillac. For comparison, in the last 12 months in the US was delivered 127,777 Cadillacs. And in America, the sale of cars of this brand falls – by 4.1 percent over the same period last year. For comparison, Chinese annual sales grew by 58.2 percent. They allowed China to become the largest market for Cadillac.
In January, the president of the brand, Johan de Nisshen, said that the Chinese market could become the largest for the company in the next three years. Obviously, he did not predict such a huge demand, which was recorded in China during 2017.
