Chief designer Bugatti will design the exterior of the new Aston MartinMay 15, 2018
The appearance of the new supercars Aston Martin will be developed by former employee Volkswagen concern and chief designer Bugatti Tobias Sülmann. In a British manufacturer, he will take the place of Miles Nurnberger, who was promoted to design director. Both top managers will be subordinated to the chief creative director of the brand Marek Raichman.
Recently, Tobias Sülmann worked on the exterior of the Volkswagen Arteon sedan and participated in the creation of the Touareg a new generation. Last year he was appointed the head of the design department of the company Bugatti. In this post, he replaced Alexander Selipanov, who in 2016 moved to the premium division of Hyundai – Genesis.
In the next few years, Aston Martin plans to release seven new models. Two of them have already been submitted – this is DB11 and Vantage. Subsequently, the DBS Superleggera will appear, which should replace the second-generation Vanquish, as well as a crossover.
Probably, Sylmann will not engage in SUV, since the development of this model has been going on for several years. The designer, most likely, will create the appearance of a mid-engine supercar (the first car of this type for the manufacturer), as well as cars of the brand Lagonda.
