Chevy published the official logo of the new Corvette C8February 7, 2019
As we get closer and closer to the long-awaited presentation of the new generation of the Chevy Corvette sports coupe (internal designation C8), some unofficial data is starting to appear on the network. This time it is the brand nameplate of the model.
This photograph was downloaded from “publicly accessible files by a third party and transferred to us,” say representatives of the Internet portal dedicated to Corvette.
Seeing that the logo ideally corresponds to the one that we had previously seen on the key ring and on the “spy” pictures of a mid-engine sports car, there is no doubt about the originality of this photo.
To better discover the subtle differences between the current logo and the logo that will adorn the widely publicized new product, we give you photos of both of them (photo of the new version below). It must be said that the differences between them are not significant. For example, the red background around the Chevy butterfly logo looks a little brighter than before, while the lower part of the badge seems a bit wider. The entire logo looks more vertical, and the upper corners are sharper than the current version of the model (C7).
When will we finally see the C8 generation? The official presentation of the American sports coupe with a medium engine is presumably scheduled for this summer, it is even possible that the car will be shown at the New York Auto Show. It used to be expected that the new Chevy Corvette will be shown at the Detroit Auto Show in January of this year.
