Chevy offers to upgrade your old Colorado to version 2021 model yearJune 30, 2020
According to a US brand press release, Chevy Colorado mid-size truck versions that were produced between 2015 and 2020 can get exterior elements from the Colorado 2021 model year.
Chevrolet introduced an updated version of its mid-size Colorado – the novelty will go on sale as a 2021 model year truck. Along with a new “face” and other aesthetic updates, the “workhorse” also received a noticeably modified rear end. Owners of older versions of Colorado will be able to install it on their cars.
In the new version of the pickup truck, a large stamp with the name of the company appeared on the door of the loading platform, whereas earlier, in the center was a small Chevy logo. This is a simple but effective design move to further emphasize the brutal appearance of the machine at the rear.
Chevrolet representatives said that the owners of Colorado 2015-2020 model years can order a new rear door for their cars, model 2021.
“If the owner of the 2015–2020 Chevrolet Colorado wants to buy a new rear door with a huge inscription, he can contact the local Chevrolet service center to order this exterior item,” said Chris Bonelli of Chevrolet Communications.
However, there is one small but, though. Customers will not be able to order a new tailgate on their own, as it is not listed as a certified accessory. They should contact the dealer who must order it themselves. However, the price of replacing the rear door was not disclosed.
