Chevy Camaro SS 1LE received an optional 10-speed automatic transmission
April 6, 2020 For the iconic Chevy Camaro in the more powerful SS version, as well as the optional 1LE track “package,” a 10-speed automatic transmission will be available.
It is assumed that the Chevrolet Camaro sports coupe will be completely discontinued by the end of 2023 – Chevy itself does not confirm or deny this fact at the moment. More important news is that the car will still receive updates during the 2021 model year.
According to the authoritative foreign publication GM Authority, one of the key updates for the Camaro 2021 model year will be the SS equipment with a “package” of 1LE performance increase. The machine will be equipped exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Camaro SS comes with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 455 horsepower (617 Nm)
Also, buyers are provided with an adaptive suspension Magnetic Ride Control. In the more powerful version of 1LE, the sports coupe boasts an electronic differential with limited slippage with a ratio of 2.85 for automatic transmission; Brembo brakes with 6-piston monoblock front calipers and two-component rotors; engine oil cooler, differential and gearbox; Recaro standard front seats with aggressive lateral support optimized for gear shifting and comfortable steering; dual-mode exhaust system; unique forged aluminum wheels; and a performance data logger.
