Chevrolet Suburban’s large SUV does a pretty good job of being a camperJanuary 4, 2021
Full-size SUV owners can take a closer look at this Chevrolet Suburban. It turns out that, if desired, the car can be turned into a house on wheels, albeit very Spartan.
Converting a large SUV into a camper is not a bad idea if you know where to start. Previously, CarsWeek told its readers about the self-made off-road camper Nissan Patrol, owned by a traveler from Australia.
Another good example is the 1989 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 4×4. This copy can be purchased. According to Cars & Bids, the car covered 315,000 miles. Outwardly, this camper is not much different from an ordinary SUV, since all efforts were directed to redesigning the interior. The SUV was left without the back row of seats.
The vacated space was adapted for a sleeping place. The mattress is placed on a specially made frame with drawers and rosettes. There was also a place for a cooler. When decorating the interior, wood was used – not only storage spaces were made of it, but also the ceiling.
Also, this off-road camper gets a lift kit, new shock absorbers, solar panels on the roof and more.
The car is equipped with a 195-horsepower 5.7-liter engine. So far, the highest bid at the auction is almost 7 thousand dollars
We previously showed a render of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV electric car. Ashina has already been noticed several times during test trials, so the images in many ways faithfully reflect the appearance of the car.
