Chevrolet has prepared two new versions of the Silverado pickup truck for the annual fair in Texas. Special performances were called Rally Edition and Midnight Edition: the first is distinguished by an external decor and rims, the second is distinguished by a factory off-road package.

The Silverado Midnight Edition pickup truck received increased ground clearance by 50 millimeters, the new Rancho shock absorbers, automatic rear differential lock and 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires. In addition, the off-road version is characterized by the absence of chrome parts: the grille, bumpers, exhaust tips, side steps and Chevrolet logos are painted black. For contrast, the towing eyes are highlighted in red.

The Midnignt Edition version is available for two Silverado trim levels and can only be combined with a 6.2 liter petrol V8 (426 horsepower, 621 Nm of torque) or 5.3 liter (360 horsepower, 519 Nm of torque). Both power units work in conjunction with the classic “automatic”: the first – with a ten-band, the second – with a six-band.

Silverado Rally Edition with sports accents features stripes on the body in the style of American muscle cars, black running boards, a radiator grill, an emblem, exhaust tips and 20- or 22-inch wheels. The rally configuration is available only in black, bright red, silver or white.

The Rally Edition version is available to order with any gasoline engine: in addition to the aforementioned V8s, the pickup can be equipped with a 2.7-liter 314-horsepower (473 Nm of torque) turbo four. The supercharged power unit is combined with an eight-band automatic transmission.

Acceptance of orders for special versions Midnight Edition and Rally Edition will begin in October, then prices will be announced. Chevrolet promises to begin delivering custom-made pickups by the end of the year.
